![]() All I have to say is Frost FTW! My cat would freeze all the enemies on the screen and my Destroyer would simply jump in the mix and kill everything before they knew wtf was going on. It keeps enemies at distance with Rune Vault. The build offensively rules with Long Range Mastery, Akimbo, Marksmanship, Dual Wielding, a huge amount of Strength, and of course, Dual Pistol. ![]() This Outlander kills at range while keeping enemies at bay. Don't really care too much for the vanquisher though. With this build, most enemies are dead before they reach you. Didn't get to far in the game the 2nd play time through, but I have started all 3 types of characters. I've sense then formatted and didn't save anything so I started over. ![]() played it through once with the destroyer and wrecked havoc. That way you can use weapon-locked abilities like rapid fire, venomous hail, chaos burst and shadow shot with a wand as a damage base (meaning Master of Elements will be useful). What's you character? What do you suggest? Shooty lander with Rapid Fire and shotgonne is fairly good build. Luckily there's this Char Editor so you can clone your character and play Diablo-like (Normal, Nightmare, Hell). Claws are fast, damaging and can penetrate target’s armor. Subscribe to the mod here on Steam Workshop, then fire up Torchlight II. The build relies on powerful and quick basic attacks using dual claw. Installation: Its as easy as sending your badger to the pawn shop. What I don't like about this game is this thing that you cannot change difficulty with the same character (or at least I haven't figured it out). Unleash Berserkers fury using barrage of basic attacks. I started with a melee character without Ember Shield and w/ Block and Parry (lv10 = 20% block), but at the first Ember phase portal I kept on dying so after trying some different skill setups I found out that a ranged (currently double wielding pistols) alchemist is safer, I slow down enemies with Frailty, throw fire bombs (aka Pyre) and finish them off from the distance. I am now playing Hard Mode with a Battle Alchemist (I cheated by using a sort of Hero Editor for editing the level and skill/stat pts) and now my build is like this I played the game in Normal Mode with - possibly - what came out to be the easiest class which is the Alchemist / LoreĪctually I haven't tried the extra dungeon, because I retired my hero before knowing about that. Well, the story is not very deep and it feels a lot like a Diablo rip-off, but it's a very solid game overall. TL DR Crit hard or crit a lot, you still have the same end DPS.So, I finally had the chance of playing this game and it's awesome. I've broken down the equation as much as possible to show you that, with equivalent pre-crit DPS, how fast you hit does not influence how much more you benefit from crit damage than how hard you hit. Scenario B DPS = (((50 * 2) * 1) * 0.8) + (((50 * 2) * 2) * 0.2) = 120 DPS (100dmg crits roughly one every 2.5s)Įquation: (((DMG per hit * hits per second) * non-crit multiplier) * frequency of non-crit) + (((DMG per hit * hits per second) * crit multiplier) * frequency of crit) Scenario B: 50 dmg per hit, two hits per second (100dps without crit) Hello, Im kind of new to the game, but I have a few characters in the level 10-20 range in hardcore elite and I have been told by my friend that a dual wield berzerker cannot survive in multiplayer hardcore elite leveling, that i MUST wear a shield. Compearing to modern games Torchlight skill tree is very simple, so there shouldn’t be any difficulties even for new players. Scenario A : 100 dmg per hit, one hit per second. Each of them has a unique style and abilities. It is most common to dual wield claws while playing this class, but other weapons can also be used to great effect. They have excellent movement skills, as well as high damage and health regeneration skills. Berserkers are considered the high damage class of Torchlight II. If you count additional damage done by critical hits, there are two factors:īoth of these increase the additional damage done by critical hits equally.īonus crit dmg: 100% (lets keep it simple) Berserkers start with 15 strength, 15 dexterity, 5 focus and 5 vitality.
